Safety

Safety is a top priority on all Konell Construction Projects. Konell’s safety policy is to maintain a safe work environment at all times during construction for all project workers, subcontractors and the public. Konell realizes that construction work involves many types of physical hazards, but believes accidents and risks can be greatly reduced if everyone on the job knows and follows safe practices. Konell has a dedicated commitment to safety. We pride ourselves in having incident free projects. We have a full time Safety manager that administers training and inspection programs to ensure our team has the most up to date safety knowledge.

SAFETY TRAINING

A detailed safety manual guides the activities of our crews. Demolition and earthwork crews receive training specific to their work environment. Our safety training combines historical events as well as current OSHA, WISHA and DEQ standards. Supervisors and foreman are subject to additional training such as: CPR/First Aid, JHA, and OSHA 10hr certifications. Supervisors conduct daily pre-task planning to ensure all daily job hazards are evaluated and communicated to crew members.

DRUG FREE WORKPLACE

Our goal is to ensure that each employee is provided a safe work environment. In order to provide the best service for our customers we must prevent injuries and property damage. We provide pre-employment and random drug screening to ensure that that our zero tolerance policy offers the highest benefit for workplace safety.
